Oh Mother Barcelona is a podcast and community of International mothers that I created, I crafted an unforgettable escape for hardworking mothers, titled Mama's Night Off. Recognising the tireless efforts and demands of motherhood, we aimed to provide a 24-hour retreat filled with indulgent treats, pampering activities, and peaceful surroundings at a coastal B&B. This event was not just an escape but a rejuvenating experience designed to recharge and celebrate motherhood.
Mama's Night Off became a sanctuary for mothers to unwind, connect, and enjoy a serene atmosphere away from their daily routines. Here's what we did to ensure a memorable retreat:
Retreat Planning: Conceptualised and organised the retreat, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience.
Venue Selection: Carefully selected a picturesque coastal B&B that offered the perfect setting for relaxation and bonding.
Ticket Sales: I managed ticket sales and reservations efficiently, setting an early bird offer and selling out well in advance to aid in meticulous planning and preparation.
Activity Coordination: Arranged a series of pampering activities including a cava reception, rejuvenating massages, and a sumptuous three-course dinner complemented with drinks.
Accommodation Arrangements: Provided cosy private rooms equipped with special gifts to make each attendee feel valued and pampered.
Leisure Opportunities: Offered a leisurely morning complete with breakfast in bed and the option for local walks, allowing mothers to enjoy the scenic beauty at their own pace.
Transport Logistics: Coordinated convenient train transport to and from Barcelona, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all participants.
Promotion and Booking: Effectively marketed the event, managed reservations, and handled the financials, including collecting deposits.
Customer Engagement: Maintained open lines of communication, providing attendees with all necessary details and addressing inquiries promptly.
Post-Event Follow-Up: Sought feedback from participants to refine and enhance future retreats.
Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the thoughtful organisation, welcoming atmosphere, and the opportunity to connect with other mothers in a relaxed setting.
